Men caught with drugs, cash at airport

A GROUP of men, who allegedly attempted to leave the country with almost $1million in dirty money and an array of steroids, have been refused bail in court.

Four men were arrested at Sydney's International Airport on Wednesday after police received a tip-off from Customs.

The men, aged between 20 and 50, were allegedly caught trying to take the cash and drugs on a flight to Bangladesh.

They were refused bail in the Parramatta Court on Thursday.

Later in the day, drug squad detectives raided two units in Ashfield where they discovered another $69,800 in cash, steroids and meth.

Two more men, aged in their 30s, were arrested.

They were granted conditional bail and will reappear in court later this month.
