Men allegedly broke into IGA for grog
A MAN accused of breaking into the Goonellabah IGA to steal more than $1000 worth of alcohol has been given bail under strict conditions.
Norman Nixon, 25, and Quinton James have been charged with breaking into the store on August 22.
The court heard both men were arrested at the scene.
Nixon appeared by video-link before Justice Richard Button in the Sydney Supreme Court on Monday.
Justice Button released him on bail under the condition he must live with his aunt and not leave her home between 9am and 6pm.
He must not leave the home during the day unless his aunt is by his side.
Nixon must not have any contact with the co-accused, must abstain from using drugs and alcohol and report daily to the Lismore police station.
His bail will be revoked if he goes within 200m of the Goonellabah IGA store or enters a licensed premises.
Nixon is due to face Lismore Local Court on Tuesday.
