More to Batman than the underpants: police charge vandal
A MAN has been charged after damaging a police car in Ballina on Tuesday.
About 3.35pm Ballina Police were at a caravan park on River St, conducting unrelated enquiries, when it was alleged a 49-year-old man walked past the police vehicle and punched the driver's side mirror.
This caused the mirror to smash and the mirror housing was bent backwards.
"The man continued to walk past the police vehicle in his Batman underpants before he was arrested and taken to Ballina Police Station and charged with malicious damage," the Richmond Local Area Command posted on its Facebook.
