McHugh finishes with flurry

JORDAN McHugh and James Nunn starred in a highly entertaining game between Southern Cross University and Alstonville B when the Far North Coast Water Polo competition resumed on Monday night.

Scores were evenly matched going towards the end of the third quarter and Alstonville weren't going to give in with Nunn contributing a classic goal from the opposite end of the pool.

McHugh then netted four goals in closing stages to help SCU to a 10-6 win at Ballina Olympic Pool.

The night marked a mile-stone for SCU's Simon Maspero who scored his first goal of season.

In other game, Mick Gooly dominated for LeBa as they demolished Lismore Workers 8-0.

Gooly took control in attack, netting a goal in each quarter as LeBa finished dominant winners.

At the other end, the Lismore attacking raids amounted to nothing as the LeBa goalie thwarted their every attempt to finish with a clean sheet.
