Max Krilich at Fed for fundraiser

THE State of Origin played on the flat screen TVs won't be the only entertainment available at the Federal Hotel in Alstonville tonight, with former Australian and Manly football great Max Krilich in town to help with a State of Origin-themed fundraiser.

Mr Krilich (pictured below) will be down at the hotel to assist with a football memorabilia auction and raffles as well as give a pre-match talk, half-time summary and full-time analysis of the game.

The event, raising money for the Red Shield Appeal and other community charities, has been organised by the Lions Club of Alstonville with the support of the Federal Hotel and Ingram Wiles and Associates, Alstonville.

Lions Club of Alstonville member Les Wiles, project co-ordinator, said it was fantastic to have Mr Krilich in for the event.

"There's a lot of supporters around. He's got a lot of appeal."

The State of Origin Fundraiser starts at 6 tonight at the Federal Hotel Alstonville. Free entry.
