Max George rescues boy from drowning

MAX George rescued a young boy from drowning on Monday.

The Wanted singer was reportedly enjoying a day at the beach in Santa Monica, California with two friends, when he spotted the boy, who was approximately 10 years of age, struggling to swim against a riptide, and rushed into the ocean to save him.

A source told E! News that Max immediately sprang into action and brought the boy back to the shore safely, holding him above the water until they were back on the beach.

A lifeguard then took over and attended to the victim.   The 26-year-old British star alluded to the incident one day later on Twitter, writing: "The waves at Santa Monica are gruesome sometimes!"

Earlier this year, Max revealed he was planning to move to Los Angeles to carve out a career as an actor after the band performed their last gig last month.

The 'Chasing The Sun' hitmaker said at the time: "I've already been signed with CAA, a big agency in Hollywood. After the tour I'm going to move to LA, get a house and settle there. I'm going to do auditions and learn the business. There's talk of a couple of roles already."
