Manly's tricky trio giving Stuart headaches

CANBERRA coach Ricky Stuart says his players will have their hands full dealing with Manly's trio of top attackers - Daly Cherry-Evans, Tom Trbojevic and his brother Jake.

The Sea Eagles lost to the Storm last week but still put 26 points on one of the best defences in the NRL.

Stuart said Manly mentor Trent Barrett would have his team well prepared for tonight's clash at GIO Stadium, a venue where the Sea Eagles have won five of their past six games.

"They're a very good attacking team Manly and I know that Trent will be jumping right on top of some of their deficiencies that they've found in defence over the last week," Stuart said.

"They're going to really provide some questions for us to answer defensively because they have a good instinctive footy team in attack and they've shown they can score points.

"You look at the two Trbojevics, you look at Cherry-Evans and their pack, they have a lot of offloads in their game, which creates a lot of power go-forward."

The Sea Eagles are in ninth spot on the ladder but have beaten the Cowboys, Roosters and Bulldogs, as well as getting to within four points of defeating Melbourne last week.

Stuart said Manly's ladder position was a little false and was preparing his Raiders players for a tough test.

"I think they're a better football team than where they are sitting on the table at the moment," Stuart said.

"They're good out of dummy-half.

"The two Trbojevics are very, very talented football players and they've got two very experienced halves.

"(Tom) Trbojevic at the back creates a headache defensively.

"He sits on the inside of the footy, he plays on the edge - he's a wonderful talent."
