Man suffers serious burns in boat fire

A MAN was taken to Lismore Base Hospital after suffering burns in a boat fire at Woodburn this morning.

A NSW Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called to River St, Woodburn at 6.45am, after reports a man had suffered serious burns.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the scene while paramedics treated the man.

The man was taken by ambulance to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition.
