Man injured as ute backs over him

A MAN is in hospital with multiple injuries after a ute backed over him at Tintenbar.

Paramedics were called to the corner of Newrybar Swamp Rd and Ross Ln at 11.55am yesterday after reports a ute had backed over a man.

When they arrived at the scene the paramedics found a man in his 50s suffering head injuries, complaining of back pain and suffering abrasions.

He was treated at the scene and taken to Lismore Base hospital suffering head and back injuries and abrasions.

He remained in hospital last night in a stable condition.

Meanwhile traffic diversions were put in place on the Bruxner Highway at Richmond Hill after a car rolled just after 12.30pm.

Police, paramedics and NSW Fire and rescue personnel raced to the scene.

The occupants of the car escaped without any serious injuries.

Traffic was diverted along one lane of the highway and it was closed for a short time while the red Nissan Pulsar was salvaged.
