Man injured at Wategos Beach

BRUNSWICK Valley Volunteer Rescue Association members are at Byron Bay's Wategos Beach assisting a man who has injured his ankle.

Tweed Byron police Inspector Greg Jago said the man had fallen and injured his ankle and was unable to make his way off the beach.

Insp Jago said the man was conscious, breathing and did not report any other injuries.
