Man injured after projectile fired at Grafton unit complex

POLICE are investigating after a man was injured when a projectile was fired at a unit complex at Grafton last night.

Shortly before 7.30pm (Sunday 11 October 2015), emergency services were called to Prince St following reports that a man was injured after a projectile struck a window at the unit complex.

Initial investigations suggest a number of shots were fired at the home, before a car described as a maroon sedan fled the scene.

A 23-year-old man, who was home at the time of the incident, suffered minor injuries, which did not require treatment.

Investigations suggest a small projectile, similar to a ball-bearing, struck the outside of a window, causing glass to shatter, injuring the man.

A crime scene has been established and police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are investigating the incident.
