Man hit by bus in “stable but serious” condition

A 49-year-old man who was hit by a shuttle bus opposite Byron Bay's Belongil Fields on Saturday night remains in hospital.

The man was clipped by the bull bar of a Toyota Coaster minibus about 11.30pm and suffered broken ribs, internal bleeding and the impact shattered both of his hip sockets.

He remains in intensive care at Tweed Heads hospital in a serious but stable condition.
