Man held at knife point in Casino Golf Club break-in

CASINO Golf Club has been broken into again, this time with an insidious twist where a contract cleaner has been held up at knife point.

CCTV from the club has shown five men breaking into the club around 3am, all wearing hoods to cover their faces.

"They came over the balcony at the back and took (the cleaner) hostage where they gave him a hard time," Golf Club ceo Wayne Morgan said.

"He is fine but very shaken."

Mr Morgan said the thieves went through the club bottleshop and stole around $4-6,000 worth of alcohol.

The club was closed until 12.30pm Saturday to golfers and club members while police and forensics underwent investigations.
