Man busted with ice in his undies

AN ALLEGED drug user has gone to great lengths to conceal his ice stash from police.

Following a search involving a 37-year-old South Lismore man, police an amount of methylamphetamine in a shopping bag shoved into his underpants.

The grim discovery came after police allegedly stopped the man in a vehicle on Wilson St, South Lismore.

Officers also found $650.00 cash and an amount of jewellery in the bag, the Richmond Local Area Command Facebook page revealed.

Checks on the driver revealed information that triggered police to search the man and vehicle for drugs.

The man was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and will appear in Lismore Local Court in January.

Inquiries are continuing into how the money and jewellery was obtained.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lismore Police Station, 6626 0599.
