A MAN will face attempted murder charges in court next week after he was arrested by Coffs Harbour police over the recent shooting at Toormina.

Police allege a 29-year-old man shot another man outside a home in Lalaguli Drive on Sunday, November 26.

The 30-year-old gunshot victim suffered a bullet wound to the upper arm about 10pm after a heated argument with the accused on the front veranda of the home.

He was rushed to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital and underwent surgery before being airlifted to Newcastle's John Hunter Hospital.

The man accused of the shooting has been refused bail prior to his court appearance and remanded in custody in Grafton Jail.

He is due to face charges of shoot with intent to murder and discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in the Coffs Harbour Local Court next Tuesday.
