Man faces court after armed robbery

A MAN faced court today after an alleged knife-point robbery at Goonellabah last night.

Police said they arrested the man shortly after the alleged robbery, which happened at Star Avenue about 10pm.

Police allege the 22-year-old man pulled a knife on an 18-year-old man and threatened him before fleeing with cash and some of the 18-year-old's personal property.

The 18-year-old called police who arrested the 22-year-old nearby. They recovered cash and property during the arrest.

The man was charged with robbery related offences before appearing briefly at Lismore Local Court today.
