Man evades police foot pursuit

CASINO Police are still on the hunt for a man who evaded a foot pursuit on Sunday afternoon.

However, a 24-year-old man from Moree was arrested and charged for two counts of break and enter offences, as well as trespass, and he had an outstanding warrant.

About 2.30pm two men were disturbed by residents in the rear yard of an address in Canning Drive.

Police were called and engaged in a foot pursuit which led to a nearby swamp.

Police arrested one of the men in the rear yard of an address in Eagle Place, Casino.  He was refused bail and was due to appear in Lismore Local Court today.
