Man dies in forest logging accident

A MAN has been killed in what appears to have been an accident with a logging truck south-west of Rappville.

A police spokesperson said they were investigating what appears to be an industrial accident where a man was trapped under a low loader.

The incident occurred at around 11.30am on Wyan Creek Road on private land.

The area is approximately 25km from Rappville.

The location is believed to be quite remote and the access road is very rough.

Police officers from the Casino Rescue Squad attended the accident scene along with other police.

Last night police were unable to provide any further information.

Officers were believed to be still at the scene gathering information on the fatality.
