Man arrested in terror raids sentenced for owning Taser

A MAN arrested during last week's counter-terrorism raids in Sydney has been placed on a two-year good behaviour bond for possessing a Taser device.

Ahmad Azaddin Rahmany, 24, from Merrylands, was also fined $500 for possessing four rounds of ammunition.

Rahmany pleaded guilty to both offences at Fairfield Local Court this morning.

His lawyer told the court the charges had absolutely nothing to do with terrorism.
