Man arrested with four litres of pre-cursor at Tweed

POLICE have seized four litres of a drug precursor and arrested a Tweed Heads man who they allege was involved in the supply of ice and sale of illegal guns around Lismore and Casino.

The 39-year-old man's arrest follows investigations by detectives from the Richmond Local Area Command attached to Strike Force Mitla.

About 4.30pm on Tuesday investigations led to the man being arrested at a Tweed Heads service station.

The man was taken to Tweed police station where he was charged with supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court next Monday.

Inquiries by Strike Force Mitla into the supply and illegal guns continue.
