Man arrested after allegedly setting fire to his Rosebank home

A MAN alleged to have set fire to his Rosebank home last night has been charged with malicious damage and domestic violence-related matters.

Police and firefighters were called to the Fox Rd property early this morning after a report of a car crash and house fire at the scene.

However, when they arrived they found the smouldering remains of a corrugated iron home and a car down an embankment. No-one was injured.

Richmond Local Area Command Sergeant Brad Walpole said the 43-year-old tenant of the property was interviewed by police at the scene and later charged.

He will appear before Lismore Local Court tomorrow.
