Man appears on hold-up charges

OCEAN Shores man Lance James Griffiths, 54, yesterday pleaded not guilty in Lismore Local Court to a charge of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon.

Griffiths' case was adjourned to August 19 for mention.

Police allege Griffiths robbed the Kingscliff branch of the Summerland Credit Union of $11,850 cash in January last year.

Griffiths was allegedly armed with a dark-coloured pistol.

He was arrested and charged by police in November last year.

Griffiths is currently on bail and his case was adjourned to Lismore Local Court for mention on August 19.
