Man and woman charged after death of father in Heckenberg

POLICE investigating the shooting of a Sydney father outside his own home by a gunman suspected to have been targeting other men have charged two people.

Dozens of heavily armed officers stormed a property on Falcon Circuit at Green Valley in the city's south-west overnight.

A 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were taken into custody over the shooting of 46-year-old Qusay al Mhanawi on Friday evening.

They were charged with concealing a serious indictable offence.

The car of a man wanted in connection with the shooting, Matthew Russell, was seized from the property, but he is understood to still be on the run.
