Man allegedly caught with heroin at Nimbin

A MAN who police allege tried to dump a quantity of heroin when he was spotted by officers has been arrested at Nimbin.

Richmond LAC police posted about the incident on their Facebook page.

“Around 2.30pm this afternoon Nimbin Police had reason to speak with a 59 year old man on Cullen Street,” police posted.

“As the man was walking away police allege he dropped a small item into the scrub.

“He eventually stopped and police scoured the scrub where they found a small balloon containing a white substance believed to be heroin.”

The man was issued with a court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug.
