Man, 90, dies in tractor roll

A MAN has died after a tractor rolled on him near Tenterfield on Monday.

Queensland Police were initially called to the scene in an apple orchard in Cottonvale, about 60km north of Tenterfield, about 11pm where they found the body of a 90-year-old man pinned under the rear wheel of his tractor.
 
The man was last seen at about 9am that morning.

A check revealed the scene was actually within NSW and police from Tenterfield were called to take over the investigation shortly before 2am.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
