Magpies could easily have been undefeated

AFL: Collingwood star Adam Treloar says the Magpies could easily be unbeaten after the first month of the season but skill execution and decision-making has let the team down.

The Magpies and coach Nathan Buckley are under pressure again leading into the Anzac Day blockbuster against Essendon, which looms as a must-win game after losses to the Bulldogs, Richmond and St Kilda.

"Obviously we're disappointed with the end result but we quite (easily) could have been 4-0 instead of 1-3," Treloar told SEN radio. "We've put ourselves in positions to get the end result come the end of the game.

"Coming out of the game we've got plenty of time to review the game given it's a nine-day break (until Anzac Day). The biggest thing for us is our skill execution, basic fundamentals and decision-making, especially going forward.

"Not executing and finishing our play and rewarding ourselves by kicking goals and scoring on the scoreboard is what is letting us down. That was our biggest issue on the weekend, especially in the second and third quarter."
