Loss of musician and teacher Rob Yeatman is felt keenly
MUSICIAN and teacher Rob Yeatman has passed away at his home in Stokers Siding yesterday morning surrounded by family and friends.
Mr Yeatman had been fighting a serious illness for the last couple of months.
Born in New Zealand, he moved to the Northern Rivers in 2012 and soon became well known for his skills playing the 12-string guitar.
He was part of the Rob Yeatman and Darklight band with wife Belle Stewart.
In 2014 he became a music tutor at the Byron Bay Community College, where he was meant to teach five different music courses this year.
A tribute article celebrating Mr Yeatman's life will follow.
