Look inside: Inglis set to take $100K hit on Bargara unit
FORMER NRL superstar Greg Inglis could potentially lose more than $100,000 on his oceanfront Bargara unit, with the apartment listed just days ago for significantly less than he paid for it.
Inglis, who bought the unit in the Manta in 2008, listed the fully-furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with Bargara's Coastline Realty just 13 days ago.
Inglis paid $590,000 for the unit in early 2008 but it hit the market late last month for $475,000, a whopping $115,000 less than he bought it for.
According to the advertising campaign, the ocean facing apartment is located right in the middle of the Manta building and includes an open-living lounge, dining and kitchen, all with views.
It has two good size bedrooms plus a multi-purpose room with the master enjoying an ensuite with twin vanities, spa bath and walk-in robe.
According to realestate.com.au, Inglis is shuffling his property portfolio after selling out of Sydney.
The real estate website reported the former Queensland Origin and South Sydney Rabbitoh great has just bought a Queensland duplex in partnership with his estranged wife, Sally Robinson.
They paid $920,000 for a resort-style home nearby in Shorncliffe, a coastal suburb northeast of Brisbane.
It's that purchase that reportedly prompted the listing of Inglis's long-time Bargara apartment.
Inglis, 32, announced his immediate retirement form rugby league in April after 263 NRL games, 32 Origin appearances and 39 Kangaroos appearances.
