Lock the Gate to launch election campaign

LOCK the Gate has launched a campaign to coincide with the upcoming Federal election to pressure MPs for law reform on coal and coal-seam gas mining.

As part of the campaign, branded Call to Country, Lock the Gate will be releasing a map of all coal and gas titles and applications across Australia and juxtaposing those with its international tourist icons and unique landscapes.

Representatives from Lock the Gate Northern Rivers will launch Call to Country at 11am this Thursday, March 7, at Page MP Janelle Saffin's office, 61-63 Molesworth St Lismore.

A simultaneous presentation will take place at Richmond MP Justine Elliott's office in Tweed Heads, as well as a press conference in Canberra at 1pm where Lock the Gate president Drew Hutton will speak.
