Local duo pens Anzac song

SCHOOLS are being encouraged to make use of a song commemorating the spirit of Australia and the ANZAC tradition as a way of teaching students about Anzac Day.

The song written by Alstonville-based songwriter David Reeve in collaboration with fellow songwriter  Philip Arthur Warren and former Nimbin musician, David Highet, now living in Thailand,  was inspired by Mr Reeve's father's Naval service in World War II as well as a love of Australia.

The lyrics say the song is "to the unsung souls", the Anzac legend "and all who've gone before us".

It can be downloaded from Mr Reeve's website.
