LISMORE MP Thomas George has announced $7490 in funding for local arts projects under the 2012 Country Arts Support Program.
Mr George said the grants were part of nearly $241,000 worth of funding for 132 arts projects across rural and regional NSW.

"I congratulate these organisations in receiving this important funding support," Mr George said.
Arts Minister George Souris said the grants demonstrated the government's commitment "to ensuring top-quality arts services are available to residents in all areas of the state".
"This program enables regionally based communities to explore and express their cultural identities and work together to develop artistic experiences," he said.
"The scheme assists local cultural activities and increases opportunities for regionally based groups to access a diverse range of arts program.
"(The Country Arts Support Program) generates social and economic benefits to regional communities through training, employment and promotional activities.
"It also leads to greater awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity in rural and regional NSW."
Regional assessment panels for the program, coordinated by 14 Regional Arts Boards in NSW, assessed the applications for grants under the 2012 program.
