Big day of soccer tomorrow for Brian Sharkey Memorial Cup

WORKERS FC is planning a big day of soccer-related activities for its annual Brian Sharkey Memorial Cup tomorrow.

The Ex-Men, a group of former Workers players, get together each year to play the present Workers team.

What started out as a group of mates getting together for a catch-up in 2011 developed into the Brian Sharkey Memorial Cup, an event that raises money for cancer research and celebrates the lives of those who helped create the community spirit at the club.

There will be fun activities for the whole family including a half-time crossbar challenge, a jumping castle and the Australian Futsal Association's inflatable futsal court.

A sausage sizzle and bar will also operate.

All proceeds will go to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation.

Brian Sharkey Memorial Cup day will be held at Richards Oval, Lismore, from 2pm tomorrow.

The game will kick off at 3pm.
