Lismore speedway washed out
THIS Saturday night's running of the Sprintcar Gold Cup at Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway has been washed out.
Heavy rain in the region over the past several days has left promoter David Lander with no alternative but to postpone the event.
The race was to be the centrpiece of the the club's latest meeting and promised some thrilling action.
It has now been re-arranged for Saturday, April 20.
Lander said he still expects to have a strong line-up of cars on hand for the rescheduling of the Gold Cup, with a full contingent of drivers from Sprintcars Queensland expected to attend.
A full support programme also has been rescheduled for that meeting as well.
The next race night at Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway will be held on Saturday, March 23.
