Lismore school could be forced to close its canteen

LISMORE Heights Public School's canteen could be forced to close unless the Parents and Citizens Association can fill key executive positions.

The P&C will be holding a special meeting tomorrow from 7pm until 7.30pm to address the issues, with the aim of finding volunteers to fill the roles of president, vice president, secretary, canteen treasure and public officer.

A post on the school's Facebook page explained: "At the last AGM a number of key executive positions were unfilled.

"Without volunteers to take up these posts the P&C cannot continue to operate.

"This could result in the loss of our school canteen as well as the loss of much needed fundraising.

"You do not need to have experience, just a willingness to volunteer to meet once a month.

"Please remember, being a member of the P&C benefits our lovely school and that means it benefits your child(ren)."
