Police alleged they found amphetamines and several thousand dollars cash in the car and pressed drug charges as well as a charge of having goods, in this case cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime, in his custody.

Brendan pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing a prohibited drug but contested two other charges. He also faced charges of participating in a criminal gang and supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.

Yesterday in a Sydney court, Brendan George was acquitted of all charges and walked free.
