Lismore off-leash areas a 'dog's breakfast'

LISMORE City Council has been accused of neglecting the city's 'limited' off-leash dog areas.

A Lismore pet owner has called on council to dedicate more resources to ensuring the popular facilities were kept maintained.

"If Lismore council is not going to provide more off-leash dog parks, can they at least maintain the limited ones we have?" they asked.

"Elizabeth Gardens often has grass knee high, irritating my dog's stomach leaving constant rashes.

"(I) can't see the ball or find dog poo with grass so long.

"There are no dog bags at the bin and no appropriate drinking water."

Does council do enough to maintain the city's off-leash dog parks?
