Lismore karters enjoying solid run

LISMORE Kart Club’s reputation as one of the strongest in the State was franked at the weekend with local youngsters dominating round two of the Northern Challenge at Grafton.

More than 70 karters from as far a field as Newcastle, Tamworth and the Gold Coast came together for the meet with a swag of good results for the Lismore club.

Twelve-year-old The Channon prodigy Ryley Adams took out the junior national heavy division while his clubmates Joshua Herne (clubman heavys), Jodie Nommensen (leopard lights), Michael Scutt (tag restricted lights) and Luke Garrard (tag restricted heavys) were also victorious.

Other Lismore speedsters to land placings were Curt Nommensen, Chris Burley, Logan Campbell, Dylan Jupe, Barry Fisher and John Oakes.

Racing returns to Lismore this Sunday.
