Swimmer rushed to hospital after pool incident

UPDATE 12.15pm: PARAMEDICS have transported a woman by road to hospital after a swimming pool incident earlier this morning.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was rushed to Ballina District Hospital about 11. 40am with back pain, NSW Ambulance confirmed.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter was called off.

 

UPDATE 11.35am: A SWIMMER is being treated by paramedics following a pool incident at South Ballina Beach Rd about 11am.

NSW Ambulance Media said the injured person is a woman believed to be aged in her 50s.

The extent of her injuries is not yet known. 

 

UPDATE 11.20am: EMERGENCY services are en route to South Ballina Beach Rd to reports of an injured person in the water.

Police confirmed two vehicles were called to the scene shortly after 11am.

NSW Ambulance media confirmed "numerous units" have been deployed to the incident. 

 

WEDNESDAY 11am: THE WESTPAC Life Saver rescue helicopter has been deployed to South Ballina to reports of a person in the water.

Crews were called just before 11am.
