LETTER: Roads - councils should be better builders
IT is great to hear that the regions' roads are on the agenda of the council, given they are a core council responsibility.
What is a shame it is they can not construct long-lasting roads when they finally do construct them.
The latest example is the Lismore- Kyogle Road rebuild at Fernside.
The surface opened up after only two weeks, the first instance attributed to a tractor pulling a bus out of a bog.
Who is council blaming for the new holes in the surface that have since appeared?
Great to build new roads, but build the things right the first time so they last!
