Leo Sayer heads to Bangalow against CSG
POPULAR musician Leo Sayer has been added to the Aussies Against Fracking concert to be held in Bangalow next week.
Australian singer Normie Rowe has pulled out suddenly as Sayer, who became an Australian citizen in 2009, steps up in his place.
Entertainment producer, promoter and co-founder of Aussies Against Fracking, Annie Wright, says Sayer is a passionate anti-fracker, so much so he has written a song on the subject.
Sayer celebrated his 40th year in the industry in 2011 and is best known for hits in the '70s including the Grammy award winning, You Make Me Feel Like Dancing (1977).
He is set to join blues legends Kevin Borich, James T (Canned Heat) together with International Bluesman Wolfmail at the Bangalow Bowling Club on Saturday, August 24.
The event follows on from the successful concert in the gasfields of Tara, Queensland where Byron Bay musician Ash Grunwald surfed the "methane river".
For more information on the event head to the Bangalow Bowling Club, or phone 02 6687 2741.
