WOLLONGBAR netballer Lauren Yager is celebrating after being named in the NSW Under-17 team.

It is the second time she has made the team that will compete at the National Championships in April.

It's a talented side littered with players from Manly Warringah and the Sutherland Shire in Sydney.

"All the girls have been really nice and made me feel welcome," Yager said.

"There is that expectation when you go out there and the selectors already know who you are.

"I feel like I've already improved 100 per cent from this time last year."

There is no denying Yager's talent, she is on a NSW Institute of Sport scholarship and recently moved to Sydney to attend Westfields Sports High School.
