Last chance to speak up on E-zones

4pm: THE NSW Government has just announced the deadline for public submissions on this review has been extended to March 25.

2.30pm: ANYONE wanting their say on State Government review of environmental zones and environmmental overlays has only a week left to get their submissions in, Lismore City Council has said.

The government is reviewing E2 and E3 zones as well as environmental overlays, which had been removed from Lismore's Local Environment Plan.

The review, initiated by Planning Minister Brad Hazzard in September last year, included the Riparian Land and Waterways Clause, which was excluded from the Lismore LEP with the E2 and E3 zones, before it came into effect on February 22.

Independent consultants Parsons Brinckerhoff Australia have been engaged to do the review and a drop-in session was held at Lismore on February 19 to answer questions and receive feedback.

The closing date for comments into the Ministerial review is 5pm next Monday, March 11.

Comments can be emailed to ezonesreview@planning.nsw.gov.au or posted to E Zones Review Project, Attention: Stephanie Schofield, Planning Operations Coordination Branch, Department of Planning and Infrastructure, GPO Box 39, Sydney, NSW, 2001.
