Last chance to adopt a journalist

NOMINATIONS for a new program that will match Northern Star journalists with non-profit groups in the Northern Rivers community close on Monday.

Northern Star editor David Kirkpatrick said there had been a huge response to the program with 48 not-for-profit groups expressing interest in working directly with a journalist.

The idea of the program is to have individual reporters at The Star take on a list of local not-for-profit groups and to work with them directly to help promote their work, their causes and their successes.

To express an interest in the program, email david.kirkpatrick@northernstar.com.au before Monday.
