Lantern parade needs creatives, cooks and crafters
THIS year’s Lantern Parade theme may be Australian flora and fauna, but before we can reveal anything more, The Lantern Parade is in need of creative creatures —the human kind.
Lantern Parade Jyllie Jackson is calling all Northern Rivers creatives, cooks and crafters.
Applications are now open for Stall holders who - make, bake, create, up-cycle or re-cycle goods for sale, services or demonstration at the Lismore Lantern Parade’s Market deLight. Authentic fair-trade goods are also welcomed, imported or just second hand goods will not automatically be accepted, sorry.
“We also welcome people and community groups who would like to promote their group, demonstrate their art or craft; or fund-raise with an innovative stall. or activity. We are particularly interested in people who want to create fun activities for festival goers during the afternoon,” said Ms Jackson.
“It is a great opportunity to show off your wares to people from beyond the Northern Rivers, and show the world just what a creative community we are.
“We really try to keep stall fees as low as possible, just enough to cover costs, but maybe several small stallholders could join together and share a stall to keep their costs down. There are special rates for ‘demonstration only’ and community information stalls.”
The Lantern Parade is hoping creatives will make their stalls look beautiful and unique, decorated with fairy lights and lanterns.
In fact, they are offering a prize for the most attractive stall in the Market deLight.
