Byron agency selling a piece of Europe
A BYRON Bay real estate agency is selling a luxury piece of land in Spain.
The property, put on the market by an undisclosed long-term Byron local, would set you back approximately $17 million (11 million euros).
Known as Tarifa Natural, boutique agency Unique Estates described the property as 'a magical parcel of land' in the national park fronting of the Strait of Gibraltar.
The property is 30ha and has 1.1km of ocean frontage.
It is about 10km south-west of Algeciras in Spain.
Agent Nicolette van Wijngaarden said the owner of the property sees scope for eco-accommodation.
Ms van Wijngaarden is no stranger to selling exclusive properties, previously sealing the deal for Paul Hogan's property at Possum Creek and an island off Nicaragua.
"The main reason we end up with overseas listings is because our clients buy, sell and own property all over the world," Ms van Wijngaarden said.
"As such, they might be listing property in Byron but might also have something for sale in Spain."
However, she doesn't sell the properties all on her own.
"I generate inquiries for a local agent and we work as a team to sell the property, I don't fly in and out of Spain," Ms van Wijngaarden said.
The agent said there have been people walking into the office to look at the property, but most of the interest has been generated by overseas buyers viewing the website.
However there have been no offers yet, so this multi-million dollar property may still be in your grasp.
"We've had quite a few people come in and look at it," Ms van Wijngaarden said.
"For some people it's a dream and for others it can be a reality."
