Labor promises $250,000 for Waterlily Park, Ocean Shores

LABOR Candidate for Ballina, Paul Spooner hasannounced that Labor in its first term, would provide a $250,000 grant to Byron Shire Council for upgrades to facilities at Waterlily Park, Ocean Shores.

The planning and upgrade would be done by Byron Shire Council and would include new play equipment, pathways, shade and eating areas.

"Residents in Ocean Shores have been fighting for upgrades to local parks for a long time now. I am happy to have fought for our local community to deliver this funding for Waterlily Park," Mr Spooner said.

"Ocean Shores is a large community and deserves first class infrastructure. If elected next Saturday I will work hard to deliver for the people of Ocean Shores and across the electorate.

"I look forward to working with Byron Shire Council to get the best outcome for the people of Ocean Shores."
