Kyogle Eagle Boys may fly nest as company collapses
THE future of the Eagle Boys Pizza store in Kyogle may be uncertain as the national chain announced on their website late last week that they had gone into voluntary administration.
They said in their statement this does not extend to franchisees; all Eagle Boys stores remain under the control of individual franchisees and will continue to operate normally.
Administrators SV Partners have assumed control of Eagle Boys' head office day-to-day operations, with a focus on maintaining business as usual and continuing with negotiations for a sale of the business.
So while the familiar pink signature colour of the pizza outlet may change, there is hope for the shop to stay open.
Kyogle mayor Danielle Mulholland said, should the worst case scenario happen, it would be unfortunate that people in Kyogle could lose a food outlet.
"Given they are a national company, it is not anything to do with our economic strategies for the town," she said.
The administrators are in the process of identifying restructuring measures.
