KULU FLAME scored her 12th career win when she took out the Rous Hotel Autumn Cup Final 520m at the Lismore greyhounds on Tuesday night.

Kulu Flame was sent out a hot $1.70 favourite following her dashing heat win on March 2. She began beautifully from box eight and managed to cross the field in the run to the first turn.

After establishing a winning break, Kulu Flame held out the fast-finishing Classic Revel to win by a head in a good 30.42s for the 520m trip. Zip Zip Marina was third, 4¼ lengths away.

Classic Revel handed in an eye-catching performance after being midfield for most of the race. The Jim Madigan-trained greyhound sprouted wings in the straight but just failed to pick up the winner.

Classic Revel gives the impression that something further than 520 metres would be right up his alley.
