Kookaburras start cup bid with win over India

THE Australian men's team, the Kookaburras, started its bid to win the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup for the seventh time with a 4-3 win over India in Malaysia.

Matt Gohdes scored a penalty corner and a field goal, while Glenn Simpson and Trent Mitton were also on target.

The Kookaburras played Pakistan in game two overnight.
