Knights will not take Sharks lightly: Gidley

RUGBY LEAGUE: They may be equal bottom of the NRL table with the Raiders, but the Knights and Sharks have shown in the past two weeks they can match it with any team in the competition.

After horror starts to the season, both teams have won their past two matches, the Knights beating the Cowboys and Eels, and the Sharks giving away big starts before beating the Broncos and Roosters.

Speaking to reporters yesterday, Knights captain Kurt Gidley said his team would not underestimate the Sharks in Sunday's match.

"They're in a similar position to us," Gidley said. "They've been under a lot of pressure and turmoil over the past couple of weeks."

Gidley said he had enjoyed the move into the halves for the past two games, saying: "I've been enjoying just being able to get my hands on the ball a little bit more and being able to run and sit behind the forwards and be able to motivate them".
